Peppermint Chocolate Oreo Truffles

OREO TRUFFLES!!! WHAT?! You have got to be kidding me…Nope!  These truffles are made from Oreo cookies, and they’re super easy to make – and addicting too. What better way to kick off December recipes than with a Christmas inspired treat.

This is my favorite time of year, not just because its Christmas time, but because of the weather changes, the change in the nature, the change in wardrobes, food, etc. EVERYTHING! It’s like its a kick off to the new year.. Who isn’t ready for that? I know I am. I’ve been through so many changes myself this year, its still mind-blowing. I know It’s been no one but God.

It hasn’t been all good, but I know its all necessary – the good and the bad. I have had some expected life changes (being laid off from a job that I shouldn’t have been at in the first place), some unexpected life changes (having to move back home with my parents temporarily), and some painful life changes (postponing my wedding due to finances). However, in all of that strife, I still managed to find myself thanking God everyday for all that He has done. I know y’all are wondering, how can I say that I’m are ready for the new year with all these “bad” things happening in my life? Crazy how Faith works right?

When I speak of the changes that I’ve been through, I’m not talking about my circumstances. I’m talking about myself. I’ve learned to step out of myself and to step in the promises of God. Yes, times are hard. Yes, I often feel broken. BUT, I don’t let it keep me away from my Pops in Heaven. It allows me to draw closer to Him, because I know I’m going through these things for a much greater purpose.

We have to broken, in order to be strengthened. We have to be placed in moments of doubt, in order to renew our beliefs. The only way that we can grow in faith and be made new, is to be torn down and stripped of our old selves and made new in the image of Christ. Every single thing we go through is a small piece of a much bigger puzzle.

“Look now; I myself, am He! There is no other God but me. I am the one who kills and gives life. I am the one who wounds and heals: no one can be rescued from my powerful hand!” –Deuteronomy 32:39

Do you know what that means? That means God is over all things. Nothing can happen that He hasn’t authorized, allowed, or approved. Look to God in all circumstances, knowing that God is God, and God is good all the time, and His purposes are right.

Don’t depend o your own understanding. Believe that God works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11) Believe that God works all things together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His Purpose. (Romans 8:28) God can use any and everything for good. Focus on your faith in Him and draw near to Him even when He is breaking you.

Stay Feisty!
